In Finnish, loma means holiday

A gentle pause. A moment to breathe, to soften, to return to yourself. That meaning is the foundation of everything we do here.

"Loma Sauna House is a love letter to humanity. A place where slowing down is honored, and the simple act of resting becomes a form of medicine."

– Sandy Riedman, Founder

Three decades of healing

SANDY’S STORY

Loma Sauna House is the vision of Sandy Riedman, who is now in her third decade as a healer. Her path has woven through Shiatsu massage, yoga teaching, and a master's degree in Chinese Medicine — culminating in an acupuncture practice built on decades of genuine care. Through every chapter, one thing has remained constant: Sandy loves being in the treatment room, supporting people as they heal, grow, and thrive.

A wooden cabin built on stilts over a body of water, with a ladder leading down to the water, surrounded by natural landscape and trees.

THE SAUNA DISCOVERY

A dream carried across continents

Everywhere Sandy traveled, from Thailand to South America, she sought out sauna houses. These were the places where she felt the deepest restoration, where warmth, water, and stillness worked together.

Over time, she realized she wanted to bring that feeling home. Loma Sauna House is that feeling, brought home to Oregon's north coast.
